Did you work in the Netherlands through a temporary employment agency or secondment agency? And did you build up a pension with us? Then your pension will remain with us, even if you move abroad.
Can I have my pension paid out immediately?
No, you cannot always have your pension paid out immediately. Not even if you move abroad. Our pension rules continue to apply, even if you no longer live in the Netherlands. Paying out your pension in one lump sum is only possible with us if:
- Your expected pension is between €2 and €632,63 gross per year and you have not built up any pension with us or with another Dutch pension fund or insurer for 5 years, or
- Your expected pension is between €2 and €632,63 gross per year, you will reach your state pension age (AOW age) within 5 years, and you are no longer building up a pension with us.
After those 5 years, we will check whether your pension can be paid out in a lump sum. If this is the case, you will automatically receive a message from us. Until then, your pension will remain with us.
What can I do with my accrued pension?
What you can do depends on the amount of your expected pension. You can find this amount in Mijn StiPP Pensioen.
Will you start building up a pension again in the Netherlands in your new job and do you have a small pension (between €2 and €632,63 gross per year)? Then we will automatically transfer this amount to your new pension provider. This is called automatic value transfer. This allows you to continue building up your pension capital there. The transfer takes place 11 months after your employment ended. You will autmatically receive a message from us and from your new pension provider.
New pension scheme
Due to transition to the new pension scheme, no value transfer is possible between 1 January and 1 July 2026:
- Did you stop working as a temporary or seconded worker before 1 July 2025 and do you have a small pension? Then we transferred your pension capital to your new pension provider before 1 January 2026.
- Did you stop working as a temporary or seconded worker on or after 1 July 2025 and do you have a small pension? Then we will transfer your pension capital to your new pension provider from July 2026 onwards.
- From 1 July 2026, we will again transfer your pension approximately 11 months after the end of your employment. You will automatically receive a message from us and from your new pension provider.
