The pension that you will receive later consists of several parts. You receive state pension from the government (if you have lived or worked in the Netherlands). And you will receive the pension that you have accrued with us and perhaps with another pension fund. But is that accrued pension enough for later?

Arranging extra pension
You cannot arrange extra pension via StiPP. Banks and insurers do have various options, such as bank savings or an annuity. Make sure you are well informed. Ask for an explanation and look at the advantages and disadvantages. Please note: financial advisors charge money for their advice.
Tax advantage?
Sometimes you do not have to pay tax on the money you set aside for extra pension. This depends on your 'fiscal annual margin'. You calculate this with the factor A, which you will find on your annual pension statement. You can calculate your fiscal annual allowance on the website of the Tax and Customs Administration .
What is the factor A?
The factor A is the pension growth and indicates how much your pension has increased in a given year. The fiscal annual margin indicates whether you have a 'demonstrable' pension deficit (a pension gap). And whether the Tax and Customs Administration gives you a tax advantage when accruing a supplementary pension. For your tax return for 2024, you need the factor A of 2023. You can find this on the Uniform Pension Statement (UPO) that you received in 2024. You can find your UPO in your personal file on My StiPP Pension.
