Are you no longer accruing pension with StiPP? What happens to your pension capital depends on the amount of your pension capital at that time.
Automatic value transfer or commutation of your pension
Is your pension capital lower than the surrender limit (in 2025 € 613.52 gross per year)? Then there are two possibilities:
- You can have your pension capital paid out (this is called surrender). There are rules for this.
- We transfer your pension capital to your new pension fund. We call this automatic value transfer.
Which option suits your situation depends on two things:
- When did you stop accruing pension with us?
- How high was your pension capital when you stopped accruing?
Individual value transfer
Is your pension with StiPP higher than € 613.52 (2025) gross per year? Then you can choose to transfer your pension to your new pension fund. This is called individual value transfer. There are advantages and disadvantages to value transfer. You can also choose to leave your pension with StiPP.
The influence of interest and investments on your pension
Are you retiring? Then we convert your pension capital into a benefit. How high your pension benefit will be depends on two things:
- The interest rate at the time you retire.
- The return we make with our investments. That is why we invest with less risk in the last years before your retirement. In this way, we ensure the best possible and stable pension.
