The Netherlands is switching to a new pension system. We will also change our pension scheme as of 1 January 2026.
Why? For several reasons. We are getting older in the Netherlands. We want to be able to respond more flexibly to economic developments. And our way of working has changed recently. We change jobs more often, become self-employed, or flex workers. The old pension system no longer fits in with this. That is why the trade unions, employers and the government together made new rules for a new pension. Your pension.
Your new pension scheme with us
Fairer: your pension benefit will be variable. This means that it moves with the economy. As a result, your pension may change slightly every year. It can be higher or lower. We have a reserve. In this way, we supplement your pension and prevent it from being lower as much as possible. Only in the special case that our reserve is empty, your pension benefit will be reduced. The chance that your pension will be lower is therefore much smaller than the chance that it will be higher.
Clearer: you know exactly how much money is ready for your retirement.
More personal: you can see for yourself how much your pension capital grows. When you retire, you will receive an amount from this pension capital every month. As long as you live.

In this animation, we clearly explain what will change and what will remain the same. Click on the image to start the animation.
This remains the same
- You accrue pension with us as long as you work as a temporary worker or secondee.
- The pension capital that you have already accrued with us will be transferred to the new pension scheme. This is the money that you and your employer save for your pension. If you change jobs, you can often take this amount with you or get paid it. And when you retire, your pension will be paid monthly from this amount.
- You still get state pension from the government.
- Your partner and children are entitled to a survivor's pension for as long as you accrue pension.
- The amount that you accrued up to 1 January 2026 for the survivor's pension for your partner and children will also be transferred to the new pension scheme. Do you die before you retire? Then we will pay this amount to your next of kin.
