For help understanding this letter, please contact StiPP's customer service. You can reach us in several ways. By e-mail, telephone or by post. Or send us a message via the chat on the website.
Why is my situation in the letter incorrect (I have reported a change)?
The letter contains the first calculation of your pension in the new scheme. The calculation is based on the data known to us on 1 July 2025. The amounts are not yet final. Has something changed in your situation or in that of StiPP? Then this will affect your pension capital. In June 2026 you will receive a letter with the final calculation.
What is pension capital?
Pension capital is the money that you and your employer have saved for your pension. This is invested by us. When you retire, we will pay your pension monthly from this amount.
Why is my pension capital higher in the new scheme?
Everyone received a one-off extra pension amount when they switched to the new scheme. So are you, which is why your capital is higher. We call this extra amount allocation.
When do I know exactly what I will get?
The final amounts will be calculated in May 2026. You will then receive another letter in June 2026, with the current calculation.
What is allocation?
When everyone transitions to the new scheme, they will receive a one-off additional pension amount in their pension capital. We call this allocation. We get this amount from StiPP's fund assets. The amount of the amount therefore depends on StiPP's financial situation on 1 January 2026.
What is compensation?
When everyone transitions to the new pension scheme, they will receive a one-off additional pension amount in the pension capital (allocation). Some employees also receive a compensation amount with their pension capital. They will receive this compensation because the expected pension capital on the retirement date may be slightly lower than in the current scheme. This compensation amount comes from StiPP's fund assets. The amount of the amount therefore depends on StiPP's financial situation on 1 January 2026.
What happens to my already accrued capital?
The pension capital that you have already accrued with StiPP will of course remain yours. It will be converted to the new scheme.
Can I object to this transfer?
We understand that you may have difficulty converting your pension to the new scheme. You cannot object to StiPP. The Future Pensions Act (WTP) does not allow this. The trade unions and the employers' organisations (social partners) have determined what the new pension scheme will look like. For StiPP, these are trade unions FNV, CNV Vakmensen and De Unie and employers' organizations ABU and NBBU. They have made agreements about the new scheme and have chosen to convert your existing pension to the new scheme.
The agreements of the social partners are set out in the transition plan. That is the plan in which the transition to the new regulation is laid down. An important document that is required by law for the transition to the new pension rules. You can download the transition plan on the website or read the summary of the most important agreements that have been made.

What are the pros and cons for me personally?
Your personal calculations are described in the letter you received. Much of the advantage of the new scheme is after the moment your pension starts. Because in the new scheme, your pension can more easily grow with rising prices. And your pension is better protected against a decrease. If you have any questions about this letter, please contact StiPP's customer service. You can reach us in several ways. By e-mail, telephone or by post. Or send us a message via the chat on the website.
How are the amounts in the letter calculated?
The calculations in the letter are provisional calculations. The calculations were made with the data that was known to us on 1 July 2025 and were implemented in our administration. We have not included changes (e.g. in your personal situation) after 1 July 2025 in these calculations. Of course, we will include these changes in the final calculation that you will receive in 2026.
What does StiPP do if the investment results are disappointing?
StiPP has a reserve for setbacks, which we call the risk-sharing reserve. Do you receive a pension benefit from us? With this reserve, you can absorb a decrease in your pension. In this way, we ensure that your pension benefit remains the same as what you received the previous year in the event of setbacks.
Can I influence my investment profile?
No, you can't. The goal of StiPP is to further grow your individual pension capital with the right investments. We do this by investing in organisations, companies and initiatives that take the world around us into account. We invest in a socially responsible way. With a focus on the long term and with a good balance between risk and return. From the age of 57, you can make a choice whether you want to invest with more or less risk.
Is there a guaranteed pension for me, or just an investment pot with risk?
No, pension is not guaranteed. StiPP had and has a contribution scheme with pension capital that is invested. How high your pension benefit will be is only clear when you retire.
What does purchasing power mean for my pension?
Purchasing power indicates how much you can buy with your pension. The more prices rise, the less you can buy.
Why are the scenario amounts so different?
In the letter, we show what your pension capital can look like in different economic situations. We do not yet know exactly how much pension you will receive later. That depends on many factors. That is why we show three scenarios. This will give you a realistic picture of what is possible:
1. Low scenario: when the economy is bad.
2. Middle scenario: if the economic average is progressing.
3. High scenario: if the economy is good.
1. Low scenario: when the economy is bad.
2. Middle scenario: if the economic average is progressing.
3. High scenario: if the economy is good.
Why does my pension differ in the event of economic changes?
The pension depends on investment results and life expectancy. As a result, your (expected) pension may increase or decrease every year. This is no different from the current regulation.
What happens to my pension if the economy is good or bad?
If the economy and investments are doing well, your pension will also increase. There are rules to ensure that your pension does not go down too much if things are not going so well.
What happens to my pension if I am divorced?
Divorce or termination of a (registered) partnership has consequences for your pension. Your ex-partner can receive part of your pension. Make agreements about this with your (ex-)partner. If you have received confirmation from StiPP about the division of your pension, this has been taken into account in the calculation in the letter.
Why are the amounts in the letter uncertain?
We do not yet know exactly how much pension you will receive later. That depends on many factors. This is no different in the new scheme than in the current scheme.
When will I receive the final calculation of my pension?
In June 2026, you will receive a letter with the final calculation of your pension in the new scheme.
Where can I continue to track my pension?
On My StiPP Pension you will find your personal pension page for your pension with StiPP. On mijnpensioenoverzicht.nl you will find an overview of the total pension you have accrued with all your employers and the expected pension amount after retirement. Including the state pension.
