The 8-week waiting period will expire on 1 July 2023
Trade unions, employers and the government have made new rules for pensions. That is why the StiPP pension scheme has been adjusted. As of 1 July 2023, the waiting period of eight weeks worked for new employees has expired. This means that as an employee, you accrue pension immediately from your first day of work. What else does this mean for you?
If you are already accruing pension with StiPP, nothing will change for you. Are you leaving employment and returning to StiPP? Then you will immediately accrue pension again.
