Question of the month: When will I start accruing pension with StiPP?
Every month we answer a question in this section. These are questions that are often asked to our customer service employees. This month's question is:
When will I start accruing pension with StiPP?
From the first day you work as a temporary worker or secondee, you accrue pension with us. Except if you are younger than 18 or older than 67.
Basic or Plus scheme?
From your first day of work, you immediately start accruing pension in the Basic Scheme. Have you worked 52 weeks and accrued pension in the Basic Scheme? Then you will accrue pension in the Plus Scheme. Log in to My StiPP Pension to see which scheme you are participating in!
What if you only work as a temporary worker for a short time?
That doesn't matter. Even if you only work a day or just a week during your vacation. You simply accrue pension with us.
How have pension rules changed?
Since 2024, the age has been lowered from 21 to 18 years. And before 2023, you first had to work for a few weeks before you started accruing pension. So maybe you started accruing pension later.
